The story about ADIDAS - in short

It all started in the little town, Herzogenaurach, wherein 1924 the brothers, Adolf and Rudolf Dassler began producing sports shoes under the name, Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik. Selling the shoes took off after the Olympics in Berlin in 1936, where the American super sprinter, Jesse Owens won four gold-medals wearing running shoes from the brothers' shoe factory. A family settlement between Adolf and Rudolf Dassler in 1947 led to the brothers going separate ways. Rudolf Dassler started in 1948 PUMA, while Adolf (Adi) Dassler in 1949 formed ADIDAS. Both companies have to this day still headquarters in the small German town Herzogenaurach. Since then, ADIDAS has evolved into one of the world's most prominent brand names and produces today world-class shoes, clothing and accessories for all kinds of sports. ADIDAS is enormous within the running world and sponsored among others, the legendary Haile Gebrselassie and now sponsors the current world record holder for women's half marathon, Peres Jepchirchir.

BOOST Groundbreaking technology

It's hard to talk about ADIDAS without talking about BOOST. In 2013, the first shoes released with this groundbreaking technology provided exceptional bounce, softness and durability. The energy return that you would get from BOOST is incredible and makes you feel like a bouncing ball when running. BOOST is not just popular in their running shoes, but also many of their street shoes.

Sustainability

ADIDAS is one of the forerunners when it comes to making their products more sustainable. It all started with a collaboration with the organization Parley, who collects plastic from beaches worldwide and reuses all the plastic for new products. Now ADIDAS created themselves PRIMEBLUE that contains 40% reused material, which includes materials from Parley, and then there is PRIMEGREEN which also is reused materials and used in different products.
Massive shout out to ADIDAS for this gigantic piece of work.
