Colourful, wild, light, efficient, and eyecatching – probably the five words I would use to describe the latest model from ASICS with ASICS Noosa Tri 13.

ASICS Noosa Tri from a no-go to a go!
I clearly remember ASICS Noosa Tri from my triathlon time. Separating itself from most other shoes, I quickly bought a pair, convinced it was the shoe for triathletes. It wasn't – not back then.
So when I got my hands on the latest version of the shoe to test, I was VERY excited about what changes had arrived and how ASICS had further developed the shoe. Could I fall in love again?
Let me start by saying that there certainly hasn't been made minor adjustments.

ASICS Noosa Tri 13 - Spectacular and cool design
First of all, it is impossible not to comment on the entire design of the shoe. Personally, it is wild, it is extreme but incredibly awesome.
If you prefer more toned-down colours, then the design probably isn't for you. But if you are ready for a daring shoe that says "look at me – I run", there isn't a better pick.
There are a lot of positive features hidden behind the design.

Noosa Tri 13 - Seamless upper with sublime comfort
From the moment you step into the shoe, I noticed how comfortable it is. An almost seamless upper works wonders. It is neither too stiff nor filled with redundant material but is incredibly light and comfortable.

I noticed that the shoe is significantly lighter compared to before.
It is definitely related to the very thin, one-piece upper, which has also made the fit tighter and contributed to an even better "locked-down" feeling in the shoe. I have especially noticed it during my run. Here, the shoe fits just as it should, and provides a really light and quick running experience.

A running shoe that wants to move forward thanks to ASICS' Guidesole technology
The midsole is definitely also part of the reason, as it features the ASICS' GUIDESOLE-technology. Meaning, the entire midsole is produced in ASICS Flytefoam material that has a seesaw-like shape. Therefore, you land softly on the heel and getting propelled (effectively and softly) forward.
Beforehand I thought the show was very flat and direct landing with, but now it feels straightforward and tremendously snappy in the roll from heel to toe. Clearly, not a shoe that waits around but wants to move forward – it wants to chase the finish line during practice and race.
I clearly noticed that during my training. It is a shoe that prefers speed over steadier paces. At paces faster than 4.25, they have worked well for me. On my steadier runs around pace 04.45-5.25, they almost feel clumsy running in. I don't get the same push forward but lose momentum by the soft heel landing because I don't land with enough force to get propelled forward.

The ASICS Noosa Tri 13 is perfect for the runner that wants speed both in terms of visibility and in practical terms
Therefore, this shoe is ideal for you that need a running shoe with lots of speed, both visually and practically, e.g. for your fast-paced days or interval training.
You can also use the shoe for races, but personally, there are other shoes out there I prefer, with maybe a carbon plate in the midsole.
Don't let the name fool you, ASICS Noosa TRI. Developed with incredible features for triathletes, like an extra pair Quick-Lace laces, a "pull tab" on the heel and a grip on the tongue to easier and quicker get in/out of the shoe. Lastly, the almost seamless upper makes it possible running without wearing socks.
But these advantages aren't only triathletes that can enjoy. Runners can use them just as well. ASICS Noosa Tri progressed from a shoe I mistakenly purchased to a shoe I will pull out repeatedly.
