How Saucony Endorphin Elite feels to run in
First and foremost, mention should be made of the new midsole in . The new material is called “PWRRUN HG” and according to has an energy return of 95%. Previously seen around 85% in other super shoes.
With such a significantly higher energy return, the landing feels completely different than other super shoes. The midsole is much firmer yet springy. It simply feels like the shoes have a tighter spring compared to most other super shoes.
If you enjoy running shoes that are firmer, then Saucony Endorphin Elite is a very good option for a super shoe that can compete with , without being as soft. Especially uphill, I personally find that Saucony Endorphin Elite excels – both due to the firm midsole and a very pronounced rocker geometry.
The upper on Saucony Endorphin Elite
There is no doubt that the shoe is a purebred , when you see the upper on Saucony Endorphin Elite – it is not only incredibly thin and light, but also downright perforated! This not only contributes to the low weight but also excellent ventilation for the feet.
Despite a very minimalist mesh, the upper actually gives a very good hold on the foot, and combined with the firmer midsole, there is really good stability in Saucony Endorphin Elite.
Saucony Endorphin Elite - the final verdict
If you are looking for a super shoe, and at the same time prefer a firmer feel than many other super shoes offer, then Saucony Endorphin Elite is a very good option. It is light, fits the foot very well, and seems to perform just as well as the absolute on the market at the time of writing.
