Petzl TIKKA CORE is a compact, rechargeable headlamp with 450 lumens and red light, designed for activities after dark. Operated with a single button, it weighs only 84 grams and can be folded into a backpack when not in use. Part of Petzl's classic TIKKA series, this version comes with the rechargeable CORE battery as standard. TIKKA CORE is a great solution if you need a lightweight and versatile headlamp for multiple purposes: evening runs, hikes, camping, dog walking, or close-up work in the dark. WHAT CHARACTERIZES PETZL TIKKA CORE?

Tikka Core offers up to 450 lumens and weighs only 84 g, making it compact enough to fit in a jacket pocket or backpack. The lamp has a wide, uniform light pattern that provides comfortable illumination close by and at your feet.

There are three white brightness levels to choose from – MAX BURN TIME, STANDARD, and MAX POWER – so you can adjust the light as needed. Additionally, the lamp has continuous red light that preserves night vision without blinding others, and a strobe function for signaling your position, especially in emergencies.

RECHARGEABLE WITH HYBRID CONCEPT

Tikka Core comes with a rechargeable CORE battery but also works with three regular AAA batteries thanks to Petzl's HYBRID CONCEPT design. The lamp automatically detects the power source and adjusts performance accordingly.

The CORE battery charges via USB-C, and a battery indicator light shows the battery level each time the lamp is turned on or off. According to Petzl, a CORE battery's total lifespan equals about 900 regular batteries.

SIMPLE OPERATION

Tikka Core is operated with a single button, providing quick access to brightness and light color. A LOCK function prevents the lamp from being accidentally turned on during transport or storage. The lamp also features a tilt plate for easy adjustment up or down and can be worn around the neck, with a phosphorescent reflector making it easier to find in the dark.

HEADBAND AND COMFORT

The headband is symmetrical and adjustable for a good fit, made from recycled materials. It can be removed, washed, and reattached. The back of the headband is reflective, increasing your visibility in the dark.

The lamp is weather-resistant (IPX4) and can be used in rain and humid conditions without issues.

TIKKA CORE provides up to 450 lumens at the highest setting (MAX POWER) using the rechargeable CORE battery. When using 3 AAA batteries instead, the maximum brightness is 350 lumens.

How long does the battery last on Petzl TIKKA CORE?
It depends on the selected brightness level. On MAX BURN TIME, the CORE battery lasts up to 110 hours, on STANDARD about 7 hours plus 2 hours of reserve light, and on MAX POWER about 2.5 hours. The red light lasts up to 60 hours.

Can Petzl TIKKA CORE be used with regular batteries?
Yes. Thanks to the HYBRID CONCEPT design, TIKKA CORE can also run on 3 AAA/LR03 batteries – alkaline, lithium, or rechargeable NiMH – and the lamp automatically detects the power source.

How long does it take to charge Petzl TIKKA CORE?
The rechargeable CORE battery charges via USB-C in about 3.5 hours. Note that a charging cable is not included with the purchase of the lamp.

Is Petzl TIKKA CORE waterproof?
The lamp is IPX4-rated, meaning it is weather-resistant against rain from all angles, but it is not intended to be submerged in water.
