Garmin Fenix 7X is the largest one of the Fenix 7-watches and it is the watch that takes up most space on your wrist, has most battery life and also offers the flashlight.  The Garmin Fenix 7X offers the best-quality watch in the market with plenty of the most advanced features such as a first-class topographical map, a new stamina calculator (so you can figure out how much energy is left), improved GPS and much more. Of course you also get the regular training features as well as Garmin Pay and Garmin Music.

Fenix 7X is the larger size of the Fenix 7 watches. It measures 51 mm in circumference and is targeted for those who want a large display.

In addition this the Sapphire Solar version. It has all the Fenix 7 features incl. Multi-Band GPS, a pre-installed Topo-map and also the incredibly scratch-free resistant sapphire crystal which wasn´t previously available in a Fenix watch.

Battery life

Fenix 7x offers superb battery life offering up to 37 days in smartwatch-mode and 122 hours in GPS-mode. 

Design update

Fenix 7X has been engineered with a number of improvements in terms of design. The watch has preserved its robust design and reliable performance, but certain improvements has made the watch even tougher but also more practical. I. e. the watch has been designed with a button protector around the start/stop-button which is the most protective button on the watch. 

The display has also been updated. Fenix 7X is designed with a touch screen which makes it easier to use the integrated topographical map.. Even more solar panels have been added to the display enabling it to save even more sun power.  

Fenix 7X has also become 2,1 mm thinner than the Fenix 6X.

Multi-continent map and options for direct download

Garmin Fenix 7X offers a pre-installed topographical map with optimized map details of Europe. Another new feature is that you can download new maps directly on to your watch via Wi-Fi, e.g. if you are going to the U.S.. You also get Golf and SkiView maps, now featuring cross-country trails - both for classic and skating style. 

UP-AHEAD

If you load your run before a workout or race, Garmin Fenix 7X can show you the elements of the route thanks to the new feature Up-Ahead. It will show you when you arrive at the next turn, the location of the next water station, the location of the next hill, etc..

Race Pace Predictor Trend

In Garmin Fenix 7X, the Predictor Trend will show you not only how fast you are expected to run 5k, 10k, a half marathon and marathon, but also how your estimates have looked previously. Consequently you can see if your form is improving, deteriorating or stagnating to evaluate the impact of your workouts. 

Stamina

Avoid "hitting the wall" with the new feature ”Stamina”. You get an insight into your energy levels- and consumption to prevent you from using all your energy too fast. You get an understanding of how much energy you have left and Fenix 7X will calculate how long you can keep running at a certain speed. 

New optical heart rate monitor

The Fenix 7X heart rate monitor has been designed with a new structure to make it even more precise than previous heart rate monitors. Its still equipped with PulsOx, which can measure the oxygen saturation of your blood and the monitor still works under water. The heart rate monitor is slightly smaller, så it now measures 1.3 mm vertically .

Tracklog filters

Thanks to the new Tracklog filters you can easily get an analysis of your run. Your Fenix 7X will show your route with different colors symbolizing your performance on a specific part of your run. You can choose yourself if you want to check out pace, heart rate, altimeter, cadence, etc..  

Walk detection

Fenix 7X can track how much walking you have done during trail-runs. Consequently you can see precisely how much of your route was spent walking when the hills became too steep. 

Multi-Band GPS

With the Multi-Band GPS turned on, you can get much better GPS-accuracy than previously. You can receive more satellite signals than previously and therefore your Garmin Fenix 7X can provide much more precise data than previously.

New setup via the app

Setting up your watch is easier with Fenix 7X and now everything can be done via the phone. When you are going to use it for the first time, you can already feel a clear difference. In addition all the settings of your watch can be changed via the Garmin Connect app. It makes it easer to set it up and provides a more user-friendly experience. 

Flashlight

Fenix 7X also offers a distinct flashlight. It can always be activated by double-pressing the light-button and ensures visibility in low-light conditions. It can be used as a flashlight for everyday life but can also be used during your runs. You can use normal white light but you can also change the color to red and it can also make strobe light. If you have an accident and need to flash SOS, you can arrange the watch to transmit the signal in Morse code to signal that you need help. 

Other updates

Fenix 7X also supports wind- and kitesurfing, and offers a new training feature for strength training, i.e. AMRAP (As many rounds as possible), EMOM (Every minute on the minute), TABATA and a custom-feature.
