STEALTH-MODE

If you are on a mission and need to make yourself invisible to the enemy, you now have the option to make yourself invisible/offline with the Stealth mode. It works the same way as when you use flight mode onboard an aircraft. 

NIGHT VISION

You can easily switch between daylight vision and night vision on a display that is compatible with night vision optics.

JUMPMASTER MODE

The Jumpmaster Mode on your Garmin Instinct Solar Tactical watch will help you calculate the high-altitude release points and helps to navigate you to your objective once you have jumped.

POWER MANAGER AND IMPROVED BATTERY LIFE

All watches in the Garmin Instinct Solar series have a new, improved battery life, compared to the predecessor. This applies to both the smartwatch-mode, GPS-mode, and the GPS+Music-mode.  Power Manager is a cool feature to tell you how many hours the battery has left.  

The Power Manager makes it easy to switch between different Power Modes for every activity. This way, you always have control over the battery consumption on your Instinct Solar watch.

GARMIN PULSE OX

The Garmin Pulse Ox is a sensor on the back of the watch, together with Garmin Elevate, that measures the body’s saturation of oxygen in the bloodstream.

In the new Garmin Instinct Solar series, the Pulse Ox is now available to more activity profiles, so you can use the sensor to track plenty of activities. 

With Garmin Elevate and the Pulse Ox sensor, the watch will provide you with useful data about your sleep cycle and the body’s stress level.

BODY BATTERY

With the Body Battery, the watch can measure the body’s current stress level, which will give you an indication of your body’s general fatigue and energy levels. 

The Body Battery measures on a scale from 100-0. If you wake up in the morning from a restful sleep, it would start with 100.

DESIGN AND DISPLAY

The Garmin Instinct is created in a solid design made to endure. Instinct is designed to meet the US military standards 810G for thermal, shock, and water resistance. The exterior of the watch is made with a fibre-reinforced polymer case material to enforce and stabilise the watch.

The lens is designed with a chemically strengthened glass to protect the lens against bumps and knocks. The resolution of the lens is high enough to allow you to easily read from the watch in direct sunlight. The display of the strengthened lens is monochrome with an impressive 128x128 pixels – the resolution and pixelation are, therefore, very good. 

The Garmin Instinct is made with a special ventilating silicone strap material, which is easy to change. The ventilating strap provides a perfect fit and ensures the watch will not snag your clothes or get stuck in stuff.

GPS, GLONASS AND GALILEO

The Garmin Instinct is a so-called “GPS watch” – but it is so much more than that. The Instinct is both capable of receiving and sending signals to GLONASS (the Russian satellite system) and the newer Galileo satellite system (the European satellite system), which ensures extremely precise satellite communication in even challenging terrains where tall buildings and dense forests can impair the connection.

The Garmin Instinct also uses a 3D speed to help accurately measure your speed outside. The 3D speed is measured by using the built-in barometric sensor and the vertical height above the ground. It is very useful for accurate measurement of activities like hiking and workouts with elevations.

GARMIN ELEVATE™

The Garmin Instinct is designed with Garmin Elevate™ - a wrist-based heart rate, which measures the heart rate by using a sensor on the back of the watch that calculates the speed of the blood by using optical light.

The Instinct watch is compatible with Garmins soft strap heart rate monitor and Garmin HRM-DUAL heart rate monitor, when a slightly more precise heart rate monitoring is needed.

GARMIN INSTINCT FOR SPORT

The Garmin Instinct is an outdoor watch and sports watch packed with all kinds of activities – running, fitness, swimming, and cycling. The Garmin Instinct can be used for both the treadmill and for trail running, where the special trail sports profile will show specific data relevant for trail running.

DAILY ACTIVITY TRACKER

Garmin Instinct Solar is your daily activity tracker.

The Instinct has a built-in accelerometer to measure steps, distance, and floors climbed. The watch also measures the minutes of intensity, so you can monitor how much time was spent on doing activities that increased your heart rate on a day.

Garmin Elevate™ - the wrist-based heart rate – tracks your heart rate during the day. The built-in heart rate also helps the watch to monitor your body’s stress level and calculates the calories burned on a day.

SMART NOTIFICATIONS

The Garmin Instinct is also a smartwatch, which uses Bluetooth

to notify you about incoming calls, text messages, and other notifications, so you can stay in the loop without having to bring out your phone.  

The watch can also use other features on your phone like the weather forecast, Find My Phone, and control the music.

LIVETRACK

LiveTrack allows family and friends to track your location while you are training. If you bring your smartphone for training or race day, you can share your location and allow family and friends to follow you on your route and be updated about your location.
