Fenix 5S Plus is Garmin’s newest top range multisport watch for both running, biking, adventure race, swimming, triathlon, golf, sailing, fitness, and much more. The Fenix 5S Plus is the successor of the Fenix 5S, and it is updated with the newest functions and sensors, so that the watch is even more useful both for training and everyday use.
Fenix 5S Plus has been upgraded with a large number of new functions, so that you can now find Garmin Pay, Garmin Music, TopoActive Europe map, and others in your watch. The Fenix 5S Plus now also has the GALILEO satellite system, which makes its navigation even more precise.
With the Garmin Fenix 5S Plus you can experience the world without having to worry about your card or smartphone. When you stop to buy water or an energy bar on your run, you can just use Garmin Pay as contactless payment. And with Garmin Music, you do not have to carry your smartphone with you on your run. You also get rid of annoying wires, as you listen to your favorite music. It is all collected there in the watch.

NEW DESIGN AND SPECIFICATIONS
The design of the Fenix 5S Plus has been changed a bit, making the watch incredibly elegant and nice looking. The screen has been upgraded, so that you now get the same size as the Fenix 5 Plus and Fenix 5X Plus. The new screen is 1,2” tall and has 240 x 240 pixels, compared to the Fenix 5S that has a screen of 1,1” and 218 x 218 pixels. This makes it feel like a significantly larger watch, though its diameter is still only 42 mm. The image is much clearer than earlier.

GARMIN MUSIC
Garmin Fenix 5S Plus has Garmin Music, which makes it possible to store music files directly on the watch and lets you listen to your music with a Bluetooth headset. The music is easily controlled on the watch, where you can both change number, start/stop, and turn the volume up and down.
Garmin Music lets you store up to 500 songs on your watch. This gives you a lot of options for listening to a variety of songs when you exercise.
The Fenix 5S Plus is compatible with external Bluetooth units, so that a wireless headset can connect to the watch.
GARMIN PAY
Fenix 5S Plus has a small NFC chip built in, which is the same technology that is present in our contactless debit cards. It is now possible to connect a debit card to your Garmin Pay, so that you can easily buy water or an energy bar without having to carry a card or cash on your run.
TOPOACTIVE EUROPE MAP
With the Garmin Fenix 5S Plus, you will always carry navigation right at your wrist. The topographical map can work like normal navigation with roads and points of interest. But the topographical map is also very detailed, so that you can find small paths in woods or MTB tracks. In short, the topographical map is all you need to explore new routes.
The Round-Trip Run and the Round-Trip Ride navigation gives you the option of manually set a distance. The watch then finds three routes for you based on the Trendline™ Popularity Routing, which is a collection of trillions of data that Garmin has collected from its users all over the world, so that you get the most popular running or biking route.
CLIMBPRO
Garmin ClimbPro is a new height function, which provides information about elevation ahead and real-time height increase. In that way, you will always know what is coming.
GALILEO SATELLITE
This is the first sports watch by Garmin where you can choose GALILEO satellites, which give more precise navigation and satellite connection. GALILEO is the European satellite system, while GPS is the American and GLONASS the Russian system. All three options are available for your sports profile, to give you the best possible connection and accuracy.
SENSORS IN THE FENIX 5S PLUS
Fenix 5S Plus has different sensors built into the watch, which provide you with the most possible information during your day or exercise. The barometer and altimeter provide you the most accurate measurement of height increase or decrease, while the built-in thermometer measures the actual temperature.
3-Axis is an electronic compass that helps you in the right direction when you need it and works with the topographical map.
ADVANCED TRAINING STATISTICS
The advanced training status tells you the aerobe and anaerobe capacity based on your heart rate, which indicates how your exercise has changed how fit you are. With the VO2-max estimation in the Garmin Connect, you can see how big your oxygen intake is, and how far you have come.
Fenix 5S Plus keeps an eye on the stress from your exercise and gives you an estimate of the total stress in 7 days of exercise. With the help of advanced data and together with a heart rate strap, the watch can analyze your lactic acid threshold. It gives you a lactic acid number, so that you can estimate when your muscles burn up oxygen or fat. With the help of these data, the Fenix 5S Plus can better your shape without straining you.
DAILY ACTIVITY TRACKER
Fenix 5S Plus by Garmin is also your daily activity tracker that helps you count your steps, check your sleep, count floors, monitor your daily heart rate, measure your calories, and tell you how stressed your body is.
FENIX 5S PLUS AS A SMARTWATCH
Fenix 5S Plus is a smartwatch. If the watch is connected to your smartphone, you can receive and read messages and see calls, notifications from Facebook or Instagram, and much more. If you receive a call in the middle of a meeting, you can with a simple click on your watch reject it.
Your calendar automatically synchronizes with your watch, so that you can view your meetings and appointments of the day. Your watch also has a pre-installed weather widget, telling you the weather right on your wrist.
