Garmin Enduro 2 is the new high-end multisport watch aimed at ultrarunning with extra focus on durability. The watch is very similar to a Garmin Fenix 7 in both appearance and internals, but Garmin Enduro 2 is specifically designed with ultrarunning in mind. Therefore, the watch has several features that make it much more useful for adventurers and runners who enjoy the longest distances, and of course, it includes everything you know from a Garmin Fenix 7.
The watch now has the best battery life currently available. 46(!) days Garmin Enduro 2 can last in smartwatch mode. That is extremely long, nine days longer than Garmin Fenix 7X, and in GPS-mode you get 150 hours of battery. In addition, the watch comes with both a silicone and a nylon strap. The nylon strap weighs less than the silicone strap and offers more adjustment options regarding fit.

Garmin Enduro 2
Size-wise, the watch has the same dimensions as a Fenix 7X. That is, the watch has a diameter of 51mm and the display itself is 35.56 mm in diameter. Like the Fenix 7X, Garmin Enduro 2 is equipped with a built-in flashlight. In the Garmin Enduro 2, however, the flashlight is twice as powerful, so it can easily light up a dark forest for evening runs.
Garmin Enduro 2 has all the same features as found in a Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar, including solar charging, navigation and heart rate monitor. You therefore get preloaded topographic maps (including over 40,000 golf courses and most ski resorts), MultiBand GNSS, Sapphire screen with solar panels, and as many activity profiles as the heart desires. Additionally, Garmin Enduro 2 also has some new features which I list below.
SatIQ
With SatIQ, your watch automatically chooses the best satellite configuration for you. If you are in challenging GPS areas, the watch activates MultiBand, and if you are in flat areas without turns, the watch simply switches to a simple solution. This way, your Garmin Enduro 2 gps watch gets a good signal while using as little battery as possible, extending the watch's battery life with the efficient tracking function.
NextFork
With NextFork, you are constantly guided when using the map in your Garmin Enduro 2. The function tells you how far it is to the next road/trail junction, and it also tells you what the road or trail is called, so you can keep track of where you are when you run in unfamiliar terrain.
Updated training status andtraining plan
Your Garmin Enduro 2 can provide a detailed training plan for a goal you set. If you have a half marathon in mind, you can add it to your Garmin Connect calendar and specify your desired pace. Then, your Garmin Enduro 2 will create a plan considering your current training status, so you work optimally on your strengths and weaknesses.
HRV Status
Keep complete track of your recovery with the updated HRV status on your Garmin Enduro 2. By monitoring your HRV, you know whether your body is too tired for a hard training session or ready to push through. You can read our HRV guide here.
