Adidas is rising to the occasion this year, coming up with prime new solutions for all runners with all sorts of strides. It’s not always easy as a consumer when a brand like adidas revamps a lineup just like they have done this year with the introduction of the Supernova Rise, Solution, and Stride.
None of these running shoe names give any indication of what they can do, so let’s answer these questions:

The adidas Supernova Trinity

adidas Supernova Rise
The Supernova Rise had a pre-launch in November 2023 and was the first new update in the Supernova line. It is the quintessential daily trainer with cushion, stability, and durability in mind. It aims to find the middle ground, making it a versatile shoe that can do a little bit of everything, but still give a lot of comfort.
If you just want a daily workhorse that comfortably can get you through every day, with new premium Dreamstrike+ foam in the midsole, then the Supernova Rise is the right choice for you.
adidas Supernova Solution
Next up is the Supernova Solution. In essence, the differences between the Rise and the Solution aren’t too big, but what is the solution to the Solution’s existence? Well, it is the added stability.
The Dreamstrike+ midsole has been enhanced for improved support, incorporating a foam road system akin to that of the Supernova Rise. However, it distinguishes itself by being more substantial, especially on the outside and towards the heel of the shoe, making the Supernova Solution a more stable experience.
If you are looking for a versatile daily trainer who can give you a bit more support through your everyday runs, then the Supernova Solution is the way to go.
adidas Supernova Stride
The Supernova Stride is the little sibling of the Supernova Rise. It is a lighter and more budget-friendly daily trainer, that still incorporates the most important features of the Supernova lineup.
The midsole boasts a dual-layer construction, featuring an EVA base for stability and durability and a Dreamstrike+ forefoot for a fun toe-off experience. Maintaining the distinctive rocker geometry from its bigger siblings, it preserves the new Supernova running sensation. Underfoot, the durable adiwear outsole— shared with both the Rise and Solution models - ensures reliable grip, even on wet surfaces.
If you want a lighter daily trainer or a more budget-friendly option, that still offers the Supernova feel, then you should check out the Supernova Stride.
