Best On-ear products:

Check these out if you want a product that sits on your ears, not inside them.

BOOM MIINI by Miiego

BOOM MIINI by Miiego is, as the name suggests, a smaller sibling in the BOOM series. Weighing only 155g, it's one of the lightest headsets. With its incredibly low weight, I can quickly reveal that BOOM MIINI is really lightweight and super comfortable on the go. You don't feel "heavy-headed" like with other heavier headsets. The design of BOOM MIINI is very simple, clean, and light. The fit is more narrow compared to BOOM ANC by Miiego and BOOM by Miiego.  When it comes to sound quality, BOOM MIINI has the same award-winning sound as the rest of the BOOM series.

When you purchase BOOM MIINI, you get two different ear pads. One for everyday use and the other for sports. Changing the ear pads is incredibly easy, just a simple "twist and turn" replacement.   Additionally, operating BOOM MIINI is incredibly straightforward and user-friendly. The headset connects quickly to Bluetooth and the device you want to play and control music from. One thing that surprised and impressed me was the battery life. They can play for up to 21 hours! It's impressive.

BOOM MIINI by Miiego is an on-ear headset for those needing a simpler one that demands high sound quality, comfort, and operation.

Havit On-Ear Wireless Headphones

If you are one of those who just can't find headphones that fit your ears, Havit On-ear wireless headphones might be the solution. They are stable thanks to the headband that goes behind your head, while the headphones sit on your ears. They are wireless, connecting with your phone via Bluetooth (Bluetooth 5.0), have up to 16 hours of battery life, and are easy to operate with buttons on the side of the headphones. Overall, a practical product with reasonable sound and functionality.

Best choices for high budget

If money is no object, and you want the best of the best, our top suggestion is one of these;

BOOM by Miiego ANC

The fantastic BOOM by Miiego is now available in an updated "ANC" version with Active Noise Cancellation. I've personally used the 1st generation of BOOM by Miiego in the office over the past year and have been very pleased with them. But the new BOOM by Miiego ANC takes it to the next level. When I really need to concentrate, I need peace. And that's not easy to get in an open office with 20 colleagues. The new Active Noise Cancellation feature effectively reduces background noise and "smooths out the soundscape." So whether I'm listening to music or not, there's more peace in my head with BOOM by Miiego ANC around my ears.

BOOM by Miiego ANC is, of course, wireless and has an incredible battery life of 22 hours with ANC on and 36 hours without ANC. And if you run out, they also work with a cable. The sound is, of course, absolutely fantastic with good depth and crispness across the spectrum. But the best thing about BOOM by Miiego ANC is the interchangeable ear pads that make BOOM by Miiego ANC an All-in-One product fulfilling all my demands. At the office, on the bus, or traveling, I use the soft leather ear pads. And when I go for a run or engage in any physical activity, I switch in 5 seconds to the breathable mesh ear pads. If necessary, the ear pads can be washed afterward. It's simply genius.

BOOM by Miiego won two major international awards in 2019: An ISPO AWARD for Best Sports Headphones and a RED DOT DESIGN AWARD. And in 2020, the award for best sound! It doesn't get much bigger than this!

Looking for "Over-ear" headphones usable for everyday, leisure, and sports, BOOM by Miiego ANC is, in my opinion, unmatched.

If you can do without the Noise Cancellation feature, BOOM by Miiego is still an excellent choice.

SHOKZ OpenRun Pro

Another set of high-budget headphones that truly deserve a mention is SHOKZ OpenRun Pro. These are sports headphones of the "Open-ear" type, using a unique Bone Conduction technology. Instead of sending sound into the ear via the eardrums, SHOKZ OpenRun Pro sends sound directly to the inner ear through the cheekbone. It sounds crazy, but it works incredibly well! The headphones vibrate a tiny bit when you turn up the volume or when the music has a lot of bass. But you don't notice it at all after a short while.

SHOKZ has won several international awards for their unique and innovative approach to headphones. And SHOKZ OpenRun Pro is in many ways also the perfect running headphones. Even though it can be nice to isolate yourself from the world when running, it's not smart to be completely unaware of your surroundings when running in traffic. SHOKZ OpenRun Pro leaves the ear canal open, so you can easily hear what's happening around you, while still enjoying your music (or podcast, or whatever you listen to). It's smart! And since nothing sits in or on the ear, the long-term comfort of SHOKZ OpenRun Pro is better than any headphones I've tried. The bass doesn't match over-ear headphones like BOOM by Miiego, but I find the sound impressively good! And for those who primarily engage in outdoor sports or frequently navigate traffic, SHOKZ OpenRun Pro is a complete no-brainer. No other headphones on the market deliver the same combination of fit, sound quality, and traffic safety in one product. They're simply awesome!

adidas Z.N.E 01 ANC

adidas enters the headphones market with these Z.N.E 01 ANC. As the name suggests, the headphones come with "Active Noise Cancellation," aiding good sound and focus capability. Battery life is 4.5 hours, which is also considered good for training. Sound quality is paramount, and we wouldn't include a product in this overview if it didn't meet high standards, which it does, especially the bass in adidas Z.N.E 01 ANC is truly delightful for the ear. The headphones are compatible with both Android and iOS.

Best picks for a low budget

If you have a lower budget for purchasing headphones , we recommend:

W7 by Miiego

W7 by Miiego is a truly good and sharp product for the price. Weighing only 10g, W7 by Miiego are Miiego's lightest headphones to date. W7 by Miiego consists of two in-ear 'earbuds' connected by a thin wire, adjustable at the neck with a small clip. This allows you to adjust the fit, whether you prefer a tight or slightly looser fit. On the wire, there's a small control panel with three buttons, allowing you to control all headphone functions.

Despite its small size, W7 by Miiego has an extremely long battery life of up to 12 hours! It's quite impressive considering that W7 by Miiego with its simple outward appearance doesn't seem like much. It's hard to imagine that a set of headphones so small and light can produce much sound. But here I was truly surprised. The bass in the headphones is good, and the sound doesn't crackle in any way, which can sometimes be the case with small, minimalist headphones. This just proves that bigger isn't always better.

I've run quite a few kilometers with W7 by Miiego without having to stop to adjust the headphones. The good, clear sound and the many options to adjust comfort make W7 by Miiego, in my opinion, a high-quality product at a very low price.

Havit Earpods TW916

When you buy headphones in this price range, it's limited what you can expect. But these Havit Earpods TW916 deliver very reasonable sound quality for the price. Compared to more expensive models, there's particularly a bit missing on the bass front. But for audiobooks, podcasts, and regular music playback, they work more than fine.

Havit TW916 are 100% wireless in-ear headphones, connecting to your smartphone via Bluetooth, freeing you from annoying wires when you run. Additionally, they have a built-in microphone and touch-control media button, making operation very simple and easy. With light taps on the side of the headphones, you can easily and quickly change tracks or answer calls. The fit in Havit TW916 is designed ergonomically to provide you with comfortable listening for daily use and sports. At the same time, Havit TW916 are also very light, which makes them sit nicely in the ears when running. Finally, you can charge the headphones on the go with the small, smart charging case. With Havit TW916, you get a lot of value for money. In my opinion, a good purchase at the very low end of the price scale.
