Parents can use the free Garmin app to administer the Vivofit JR 3 activity tracker. You can add individual profiles from the app and see number of steps, sleep as well as daily minutes of activity and assignment data when it is synchronized with a connected  smartphone.

With the Toe-to-Toe feature its possible to challenge a family member to a step competition which also has a Vivofit JR or Vivofit activity tracker. When the devices are close to each other they can be paired and the step competition can start. When the competition is over, you can name the winner. 

With Vivofit JR 3 you can assign household tasks and make rewards with virtual coins. Its also easy to assign daily tasks and set alarms via the smartphone app which is followingly displayed on your childs Vivofit JR 3 - the alarms can be set to a certain time a week or every day and is a great tool for children who need a reminder or youngsters who need an extra reminder to do their homework. The alarm is shown with an icon on the small color screen and then the assignment timer on Vivofit JR 3 can be started so they know how much time is left.
