` well-known and popular is out in its 25th edition – this time with significant changes. I have tested the shoe, and in this article, you can find both my experiences and a video with Lars and me, where we compare it to the previous model, Gel-Nimbus 24.

- Midsole: FF Blast+ ECO
ASICS Gel-Nimbus 25 – first impressions
Already at first glance, you can see significant changes from the previous model. The shoe has a stack height of 41.5 mm under the heel. This large stack-height offers ample amounts of FF Blast+ in the midsole, providing lots of comfort, yet a bouncier feel than in 24, which is more "just" soft.
The landing is stable, also supported by the broad outsole shape, which has performed very well in terms of grip.
Size-wise, I use the same size in ASICS Gel-Nimbus 25 as in most running shoes. There's good toe space, but the grip on the foot is fine, and the shoe fits overall very well. Around the ankle, there are thick pads that provide a feeling of comfort and softness all around – it's a really good experience to put your foot in the shoe!
The running experience in ASICS Gel-Nimbus 25
ASICS Gel-Nimbus 25 is undoubtedly a " ”; a shoe that performs well for all your easy runs, whether short or long.
However, I've also tested the shoe on 1km intervals, and although it's not the model's forte, it provided a good running experience. Especially downhill, the shoe's design offers a great roll – this applies to both the heel and forefoot's "rocker." In my opinion, versatility is significantly greater in this new edition compared to ASICS Gel-Nimbus 24.
For completeness, I can tell you that I have run close to 100 km in the model, spread over several short runs, an interval session (8 x 1 km intervals), and 2 longer runs – the longest about 20 km.
Conclusion
is not just the latest addition to ASICS' Gel-Nimbus series. It is a significant upgrade from the previous model, providing a more versatile shoe. The shoe feels faster, and both the design and midsole positively support the running experience. I have thoroughly enjoyed testing the model and look forward to many more km in it.
