The Hoka Mach Supersonic is actually rather a peculiar shoe. Since it is neither a Mach 4 nor a Mach 5. For some reason, Hoka decided against giving the shoe its own number. Instead, they have plastered "Supersonic" on the shoe.
The shoe has not really changed that much compared with the previous 4 model. The upper is largely the same, and there are only a few minor changes around the heel. But there is one VERY important thing that has been changed. The foam in the midsole.
And now we might as well explain the little "+". Seeing as the small "+" is placed after Profly. This means that Hoka has made a brand new foam, Profly+, and incorporated it into the Hoka Mach Supersonic. In my opinion, this is the best foam that Hoka One One has ever produced.

Hoka Mach Supersonic - The Perfect Balance
The Hoka Mach Supersonic contains all the characteristics you know from a classic Hoka shoe. It is light, shock-absorbing, has a wide base and is very comfortable. But with the new Profly+ foam, I think the shoes have been given a extra dimension. Now the shoe is also responsive in addition to the other many great characteristics it features. In my opinion, the Mach Supersonic strikes the perfect balance between light, fast, responsive and comfortable.

The Mach Supersonic allows me to run in an effortless way, which I have not experienced very often when wearing other shoes - perhaps only one other type of shoe, keeping in mind I have run in quite a few different running shoes in my time. This is not because the Mach Supersonic is the softest, most responsive, lightest or most comfortable running shoe I've ever tried. But I completely forget that I'm wearing my shoes. And in my view, this is the absolute most important feature of a shoe used for daily workouts.

This is basically the reason why I think the Hoka One One Mach Supersonic is such a great running shoe. It's simply amazing. And that's why it gets a huge + in my book.

If you are used to buying shoes in half sizes, then I would recommend you buy the Mach Supersonic in a half size larger than you usually do, because it seems slightly on the small size in terms of the upper. Other than that, I have no other comments about the shoes. Indeed, there are shoes with better grip, and shoes that are softer and more responsive available on the market, but as mentioned, I have rarely experienced a shoe that is just so well tuned and stylish. It is a running shoe that I would be able to use for all my runs, both for interval training and my more leisurely sessions. It really is a versatile and generally great all round shoe!
So if you also want to make the most of the magic little "+", I highly recommend that you buy the Hoka One One Mach Supersonic.
