The extremely popular Saucony Endorphin Pro has been released in a brand new and improved version. The super shoe has become even more super. It has become lighter, faster, softer and more responsive.

A lot has happened with the latest Saucony Endorphin Pro 3! Actually, Saucony has stuck to the same technologies that we know from the first two editions. You still get a shoe with PWRRUN PB, Speedroll technology, a carbon plate, an 8 mm drop and a thin mesh upper. But everything has been fine-tuned, so the Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 is the fastest of the Endorphin Pro shoes to date.

Let us start with the midsole, because this is where most people will feel the biggest difference. Although Saucony still uses their PWRRUN PB foam, it has been made softer in this model compared with previous models. As a result, the Endorphin Pro 3 feels less firm than its predecessors, and more as we know it from other super shoes, such as the Nike Vaporfly or the New Balance Fuelcell Elite v2.

Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 – Holes in the Midsole and Upper

Moreover, even more foam has been incorporated into the Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 than previous models. The shoes have been completely maximised in relation to the international standards that exist for designing running shoes, so you get 39.5 mm of foam in the heel. Saucony has decided to cut some holes into the foam, so the shoes have actually been made lighter despite there being more foam. This is actually quite impressive.

The upper has also become thinner. Although it is extremely thin, it actually feels very pleasant on the foot. I have not experienced it as being uncomfortable. In addition, it is quite easy to put on the foot, which is not always the case for racing shoes that have very thin uppers. Even the tongue has been upgraded to reduce the weight and optimise ventilation. Saucony has cut holes into the upper, so you get plenty of air, and aren't weighed down by unnecessary fabric.

Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 – Lightweight and Good Durability

Despite its low weight (206 grams), the Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 actually boasts a surprisingly large amount of rubber on the outsole. This gives it a really good grip - in light of the fact it is a competition shoe - and also ensures a no doubt relatively high level of durability.

Overall, I would recommend the Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 to anyone who wants a lightweight and soft competition shoe with high energy return. The shoe can be used for all distances, but you will probably get the most out of it for half and full marathons. I think the Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 is absolutely fantastic and it will no doubt be used a lot for interval training, as well as some competitions later this summer.
